Runners will be awarded championship points upon completion of their race based on their positioning in each race. The championship is however limited to the 21KM race category. However, these points will not be taken into consideration for the Salomon X-Trail Malaysia Series Championship which are limited to 21KM category. All races and championship information is as follows. Prizes are for top 10 runners of each category.

Cash voucher for top 5 runners. Respective state organizers reserve the rights to provide more prizes than shown below. Upon successful registration, each participant will receive a confirmation slip via email. The confirmation slip serves as the only valid evidence of registration.

The Event is open to participants who are 16 years of age and above. Age is calculated based on 1st January Participants must place their race bibs facing forward, prominently as high as possible on the front of your Running Tee. Do not place your race bib on the side of your hips, on your back or tucked away in your jacket. Runners found without their race bib numbers may be penalized or disqualified.

Please ensure that the race bib number is visible. Tampering with the race bib in any way e. No pets or animals allowed on the course. The quick lace and SensiFit fixed this issue and I found it was more comfortable than traditional lacing systems. Not Waterproof : As I mentioned above, the Salomon X-Mission 3 Trial-Running shoes are breathable, which means in this case that they are not waterproof.

This was not a deal breaker for me, and I hiked in days of rain in these. Yes, my shoes and feet were wet but it was better than hiking in heavy boots. The rocks destroyed them. I liked these trail runners so much that I purchased another pair.

Sadly, these lasted only miles. The photo below shows the wear after two weeks. These guys made my feet feel light as a feather. Honestly, I could not believe the difference of 8 oz in my shoe wear made for my feet.

For the Appalachian Trail, I highly recommend trying trial runners over boots. In short, this shoe gives you the confidence to step forwards into rougher terrain rather than second guessing your footing all the time, which can in itself lead you into instability issues. The fact that the heel cup is sturdy and well shaped to lock onto your heel definitely helps with stability.

I never felt that my foot was loose or sliding around in the ADV-C Chassis, even on the steeper descents, which traditionally reveal that kind of thing. Having used many Salomon shoes and boots I generally find them quite a narrow fit. So, I was pleasantly surprised by the roomy toe box of the X Ultra 4 GTX, which meant there were no pressure points to build up into discomfort over long miles.

Everyone is different of course, but for me, the close fit around the arch, instep and heel balanced out the additional room elsewhere. As a chronic boulder-kicker I also appreciated the fact that despite being lightweight g this shoe has a beefy toe protector and very solid rear chassis.

A cunning balance of sturdiness and stability combined with light weight and decent cushioning means that the Salomon X Ultra 4 GTX should be on the list of anyone looking to prioritise movement and speed on the hiking trail.
